Satpura, Pachmarhi, Pench and Kanha Tour

Day 1
Arrive New Delhi (by flight)
On arrival at Delhi airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel, assist you in check in at the hotel, handover and explain all travel related documents. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 2
New Delhi – Bhopal – Satpura ( Flight + 140 kms/4 hrs drive)
Early breakfast, and drive to Corbett National Park. A 275kms drive, will take about 5 hours to get to the gate of the park. Here you will get into the safari vehicle. The bags will be transferred too. Open up your camera gear, and head into the national park. The drive of 32kms will take you to Dhikala Forest Lodge in about 1.5 – 2 hours. On arrival check in at Dhikala Rest House. Lunch. And proceed for a safari in the same vehicle to be captivated by the beauty of Corbett National Park.
Day 3
Satpura
Host of activities in this national park to choose from apart from the Jungle safari, like, choice of Canoe, Motor Boat, walking safari, elephant ride & night safaris in the buffer forest. Satpura National Park is very rich in bio-diversity. Its fauna comprises of Spotted Dear, Indian Bison(Gaur), Tigers, Leopards, Wild boar, Wild dog (locally called Dholes), Sloth bear, Black buck (unique attraction), Porcupine, Sambhar, four Horned antelopes (Chowsingha), Smooth otter, Pangolin, Marsh crocodile, Languars etc.
Day 4
Satpura
Morning game drive to the national park and later we will depart for Churna Camp through the national park with a Reni Pani Jungle Lodge naturalist between 2:30 and 3:30pm. On this drive guests may see Leopard, Sloth Bear, Indian Giant Squirrel, Four-Horned Antelope, Munjac and other common herbivores. If lucky, there is also chance of seeing Wild Dog and Tiger. We reach Churna Camp by sunset where guests will be served early drinks and dinner. Food will be basic vegetarian Indian cuisine cooked at the Forest Rest House. At the camp there is a resident Giant Flying Squirrel that we will attempt to see.
Day 5
Satpura - Panchmari (85 kms/2 hrs drive)
Wake up will be half an hour before sunrise and departure at sunrise. We will do a short game drive in the forests around Churna where there is a significant amount of predator movement. Near Churna Camp there is a site with pre-historic rock paintings. If you are interested in seeing these rock shelters the early morning hours can be used to arrange a visit. After the drive we will have breakfast at the camp. Post breakfast we will depart for the Lodge and end the safari before 11:00 am. Later drive to Panchmari 85 kms/2 hrs drive. On arrival check into hotel. Walk around in this highest point in central India. The high points would be mountains in other countries but just known as hills here. Visit the Bison Lodge built by James Forsyth during his sojourn here. It is now the interpretation centre. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6
Panchmari
Visit Dhupgarh to see a spectacular sunrise, it is the highest point on the plateau. It is said that this is one of the most beautiful sunrises that you will see in India. Chauragarh Shiv Temples, Jambu Deep, Pandav caves, Gupt Mahadeo mandir, Reechgarh, the abode of bears and many beautiful water falls in the areas. Walking is recommended to some close by points of interest, and by a vehicle to some distant points. A day spent in exploring the plateau, and introspecting about the works done by some dedicated officers couple of centuries back is quite thought provoking.
Day 7
Panchmari - Pench (195 kms/5-6 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Pench national park 260 kms/5-6 hrs drive. On arrival check into lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 8
Pench
Breakfast and lunch at the hotel. Morning Jeep safari to the National park and afternoon visit to Khursapar zone of the national park. In 1992, Pench has been included under the umbrella of "Project Tiger" as the 19th Project Tiger Reserve. A total of 758 Sq. kms of this Southern Indian tropical moist deciduous forest has its extent mingling with the tropical dry deciduous teak. The area is crisscrossed by a number of streams and 'nallahs' most of which are seasonal.
Day 9
Pench – Kanha (210 kms /4-5 hrs drive)
Morning game drive to the national park and after early lunch drive to Kanha national park 210 kms/5 hrs drive. On arrival check into Resort. Dinner and overnight at the resort in Kanha.
Day 10
Kanha
Kanha's sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). This is the original Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book. The sheer beauty of this park along with the rich bio-diversity make this a must visit in your India programme. Depart for evening jeep safari Kanha National Park. Return at 6pm from safari.
Day 11
Kanha
The forests of the Banjar valley and Halon valley, respectively forming Kanha's western and eastern halves. By a special statute in 1955, Kanha National Park came into being. Since then, a string of stringent conservation programmes have been launched, for the overall protection of the park's fauna and flora. Kanha boasts of about 38 species of mammals. Some of the inhabitants of this park are the gaur, the largest of the world's cattle; the sambar, the largest Indian deer; and the chausingha, the only four-horned antelope in the world.
Day 12
Kanha – Raipur (by surface 220 kms/4 hrs)
Morning Jeep drive in the park. After lunch drive to Raipur airport 220 kms /4 hrs drive to board a flight to New Delhi 1940 hrs to arrive New Delhi at 2135 hrs. Met at airport and transfer hotel near airport. Overnight stay at the hotel in New Delhi.
Day 13
New Delhi Fly back home
After breakfast transfer to International airport to board flight back home or onward destinations
